Owen Howells - The Seen EP
Check out Shades of Grey’s upcoming release from label honcho Owen Howells. Out August 20th, The Seen features three tracks—the original mix and two remixes, one from Rico Cassaza and one from Dexter Kane. The original track has a down and dirty late night house groove to it with infectious sampling that’ll have you singing along, “Man I seen seen seen things you’ll never eva see”. Then comes Rico Cassaza’s mix which has more of a tech house vibe. Atmospheric sampling along with stabs change up the vibe completely. This one is easy to get lost in, inducing a spacey, whirling haze. Lastly, Dexter Kane rounds out the EP with his rework of “The Seen”, which sees a funky, more danceable bass line. Stream the EP above and be sure to scoop this up August 20th from Shades of Grey!

Last Japan takes ‘Damp’ and flips the script completely for his ‘4:44am Remix’, with a blend of powerful synths, crisp snares and intelligent use of bass that owes as much to current trends in US hip hop as it does to UK grime and funky.
